Our Ambassadors and Athletes

Here are the ambassadors and athletes at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. They are the smiling faces and high fives in the tram line, the skiers you see from the chairlift shredding down the mountain and the person who on a powder day who is always ready for "one more run". They are the core of our resort past, present and in the future.

Tommy Moe (Ambassador)

Tommy Moe is one of only two U.S. men to win an Olympic downhill competition and one of three Americans to ever take home two alpine medals from one Olympic game. Moe serves as a Ski Guide and Special Ambassador for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the place he's called home for more than 10 years.

Jimmy Chin

Jimmy Chin is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, National Geographic photographer and professional mountain sports athlete. For over 20 years, he has led or participated in cutting-edge expeditions around the world — climbing and skiing Mount Everest from the summit and making the coveted first ascent of the Shark's Fin on Mount Meru. His photographs have graced the covers of National Geographic and The New York Times Magazine. He also co-produces and co-directs his films with his wife, Chai Vasarhelyi. Their film “Meru” won the Audience Award: Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015 and was on the 2016 Oscars shortlist for Best Documentary Feature. Their documentary “Free Solo” won a BAFTA and an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2019. Jimmy splits his time between New York City and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with Chai, their daughter, Marina, and son, James.

Breezy Johnson

Breezy Johnson is a born-and-raised Jackson Hole skier, now on the U.S. Ski Team; she is quickly becoming one of the most-talked-about American downhillers on the World Cup circuit.

Mark Carter

Carter is a born and bred Wyoming guy, and you can see it in all aspects of his life. On the snow, Mark's style is fluid and dialed. Although he's traveled the world for snowboarding, he'll come home to the tram line for years to come.

Tim Durtschi

Growing up in Alyeska, Alaska Tim discovered the freedom of the mountain and the ability to make a terrain park out of natural features. He has worked with film companies like Warren Miller, Teton Gravity Research and Field Productions and competed in the Linecatcher, Swatch Skier Cup and Cold Rush events. As an Athlete for TGR he travels the world to find snow in the most exotic locations the planet. Every Season TGR puts out a full length feature film along with online content for the TGR website. He spends the winter skiing in front of the camera, and spends the summer and fall promoting the film through social media and the film tour. The film tour has over 40 stops around the world. He has attended tours in the USA, Canada, France and Austria. Ski filming locations include Alaska, British Columbia, Wyoming, Austria, and Japan.

Lynsey Dyer

One of Jackson's most recognizable athletes, Dyer has built a reputation for skiing with the boys and — a lot of the time — better than the boys. Her stardom can be felt from coast to coast as she continues to impress and progress.

Cam Fitzpatrick

Cam FitzPatrick is a professional snowboarder born and raised in the town of Jackson, WY. He started skiing at the age of 2 with the support of his dad who was on the JHMR ski patrol for over 30 years. He switched over to snowboarding at the age of 8 and never looked back. Competing in Slopestyle and halfpipe at a young age spiked his interest in the filming side of the sport. Cam has now been spending his winters working on films such as Red Bull Media House, Warren Miller and continues to grow his production company THIS IS US IN. Not only does he snowboard but he owns a Mobile bar Business called, “BarSIPBar. We’re excited to see what Cam does next.

Bryan Iguchi

From the sea to the mountains, Bryan Iguchi has mastered nearly everything in between. The "Guch" has taken his California style and turned it into something special. One of the best in the biz, Brian has mentored many others on this list, and its to no surprise they joined him as Jackson Hole Mountain Resort athletes.

Kai Jones

Kai has been born and raised in the Tetons. He spends his time Skiing, Biking, climbing and ski mountaineering in his backyard. Kai has had a rapid ascent in the ranks of professional skiing.  Kai first won the North American Junior Freeride series when he was 11 years old. He was Nominated for Rider of the Year at IF3 Film Festival at 14 years old and then again at 15. Kai has now starred in 5 TGR films. Kai has been featured in the New York Times and on the today show. He is a member of Protect our Winters. For a young rider, Kai has an impressive array of Teton descents under his belt including the Grand, Middle and South Tetons and Mt Moran. When not skiing Kai can be found mountain biking, surfing and skateboarding.

Rob Kingwill

Rob loves almost everything about snowboarding, and has dedicated his life to experiencing its many facets. He was a member of the US Snowboard team for 10 years, won the US Open halfpipe and got a bronze medal in Slopestyle at the Xgames, won a couple NorthFace Masters big mountain contests, and most recently won the Mt Baker Banked Slalom Pro Masters category two years in a row. He has starred in 8 Warren Miller films. He is the founder of the Jackson Hole PowWow snowboard test. He likes to make art and flyfish in his spare time, but you will most likely see him practicing the art of the turn in the mountains around Jackson Hole.

Brolin Mawejje

Brolin Mawejje is not your average snowboarder. Growing up in Jackson via Uganda and Boston, Mawejje had to find his niche. Snowboarding became his passion, and needless to say, he never looked back. Now he hopes to become the first African snowboard Olympian in 2022.

Jess McMillan

A no-doubt shredder, Jess McMillan has made skiing her life and Jackson Hole her playground. From podiums across the world to world-class Teton ski mountaineering, McMillan continues to set the bar higher. She has carved out a spot for herself in Jackson Hole's ski culture for years to come.

Blake Paul

Coming from a family where snowboarding and pushing limits in the great outdoors runs in the blood, Blake was already strapping in and gliding down the snow-covered hills of Vermont’s backcountry at the age of four. A few years later his family picked up shop and headed west, settling in Jackson Hole, WY — a move that would forever distinguish the young rider’s career.

Veronica Paulsen

Veronica is known for her accomplishment of becoming the first and only woman to land a backflip into Corbet's Couloir, and thus was crowned the Queen of Corbet’s in 2020. Three years later she went even further and became the first woman to attempt a double backflip into the couloir, winning the RedBull People’s Choice Award in the process. She continues to focus on portraying her skiing through film and photography and works to progress her skiing and the sport of freeride as a whole. Her filming resume includes Teton Gravity Research’s Stoke the FireMagic Hour, and the award-winning all women’s ski film NEXUS. Her accomplishments have led to interviews and features in prominent publications such as Forbes MagazineSki MagazinePowder Magazine, and The Inertia, among others. Veronica’s new web series has garnered industry-wide praise, and she is excited to continue to highlight unique stories through the project.

Owen Leeper

A Colorado native, Owen Leeper might be one of the only people more comfortable in the air and inverted than standing on his own two feet. His passion for skiing and progressing the sport stands out and is what drove him to call Jackson his new home. A day skiing with Leeper reminds you anything is possible.

Griffin Post

An accomplished freeskier, writer, and all around good dude, Griffin Post lives for adventure. They've taken him across the world, but Post notes that no place is better than Jackson to push the envelope, which is why he has decided to call this place home.

Jim Ryan

I’m an East Coast racer turned Western big mountain skier. I spent the first half of my life developing a trusting relationship with the outside edge. Now I spend my time testing the strength of that relationship in scary places.

Ian Walsh

Ian Walsh is widly know in the surfing community as one of the best big wave surfers in the world. Not surprisingly his talent on the water transfers to the snow covered mountains of Jackson Hole. At first Ian viewed snowboarding as an escape from the routine of riding waves year round, however snowboarding quickly became a new found passion.

Whiteford has grown into a household name not only around Jackson but in the skiing and biking community worldwide. Andrew's abilities on the hill are matched only by his ability to edit footage and produce top-notch videos off the hill.

Alex Yoder

Alex Yoder has developed a sort of style and flow that cannot be mistaken. He's perfected the art of the turn, and it's that skill that has taken him across the world. Riding boards of all shapes and sizes, Yoder can do it all.

Madison Rose Ostergren

Madison Rose Ostergren is a professional big mountain skier based in Jackson Hole, WY. Born and raised a ski racer in Northern Michigan, Madison transitioned into big mountain skiing after competitively ski racing NCAA Division 1 in college, living in Salt Lake City, UT. Madison’s skiing can be found in Warren Miller Entertainment’s ‘Daymaker’ and ‘Winter Starts Now’ as well as Volkl Skis ‘Beauty Full Send,’ and Banff and Mountain Film Festival nominated personal film ‘Fuel.’ You can spot Madison’s red hair flying down the mountain at JHMR, in the backcountry with her friends, or in the last few print ski magazines that still exist on ski bums' coffee tables, (and probably making pancakes in the tram line).

Max Martin

Max is a professional skier based out of his hometown Jackson, Wyoming. In his early career, Max was a highly competitive ski racer. He was dedicated to the sport and competed on the collegiate NCAA Division I circuit with Plymouth State University. His technical skills from his racing career translates to his style of big mountain skiing. His approach to lines are calculated, smooth, and fast. Max believes that the mountains are one of life’s most powerful teachers. He is passionate about sharing the lessons that he has learned through the mountains and hopes to be an icon for those looking for inspiration or motivation.
