Nov. 24 - Dec. 1 - Opening week at Jackson Hole. Despite Mother Nature's hesitance to provide ample natural snow, it's felt incredible to once again slide down the mountain. A massive shoutout to Jackson Hole Ski Patrol, Snowmaking, and all Mountain Operations teams for getting the mountain ready for the season ahead. Moran and Werner have been skiing well with more terrain openings on the way. Today, we opened Teton Lift and Crags Run, adding another favorite trail to our terrain offerings. With a winter storm warning in effect through the weekend, we anticipate more trails opening in the near future.

Forecast for Next Week

Per OpenSnow, the storm that arrived today could deposite roughly 30" of fresh snow across our mountain. Mid-week next week will bring slightly warmer temps, followed by another burst of snow. This atypically dense and moisture-laiden snow is exactly what we need to build our base around the mountain.

Check out MountainWeather for additional forecasting.

How to Buy a Lift Pass

Purchasing lift tickets is an easy, seamless process designed to get you on snow quickly. Jackson Hole limits daily lift ticket capacity throughout the winter, ensuring less time waiting in lift lines and more time enjoying your ski trip. As such, planning ahead is paramount so you can ski or ride on the days you desire. Follow this step-by-step guide to getting your lift tickets.

Passing Along a Passion for Jackson Hole

We recently received a message from a long-time Jackson Hole visitor recounting how her uncle, Art Burrows--a passionate skier and tram rider for many years--instilled a passion in her for skiing here when she was a child. A frequent guest at the Hostel, Art's connection to JHMR ran deep, luring him to the Tetons many winters throughout his life. Sadly, Art passed away recently at the age of 85. Below is a short story about Art and a lesson that pursuing one's passion is a worthwhile venture in this one life we get.

Winter Layering Guide

Nothing ruins a day on the mountain faster than being cold and uncomfortable. While we typically only see the outer layers of one's ski kit, there are a variety of layers underneath specially designed for optimal performance and insulation. For the best day on the slopes, it's crucial to have a ski kit that keeps you both warm and comfortable.
