JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT’S RESPONSE

OPERATIONAL CHANGES & GUEST SERVICE INFORMATION

JHMR hopes to operate by mid-summer, but will open in accordance with guidelines of State Health Orders and the National Parks re-opening.  The Bridger Gondola and Teewinot Bike Park will open along with various retail and restaurants.  The Aerial Tram will not run for the summer 2020 season due to scheduled maintenance.  All summer operations are subject to change.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s Response

Essential information and actions JHMR is implementing immediately.

  • As part of JHMR’s special use permit with Bridger Teton National Forest when the ski area is closed for public operation, access is prohibited due to hazard and safety considerations, including all uphill traffic. Thank you for your understanding.
  • All JHMR lifts, retail, rental, and restaurants are closed.
  • JHMR is working to manage the closures of all outlets while addressing guest impact. 
  • Ongoing enhanced cleaning of all public-facing facilities, including restrooms and START Bus transit systems remains underway.  
  • Heightened handwashing and sick guidelines for all employees and guests remains paramount as does continued social distancing practices.

What is the JHMR refund policy?

The JHMR Spring Season Pass Sale is on sale from April 24 through June 30, 2020, and is offering all Winter 2019/20 passholders a renewal discount for Winter 2020/21.  For more information, please visit the Season Pass page.

Will JHMR be closing to stop the spread of COVID-19?

Effectively immediately, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) will close for the remainder of the winter season in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of  March 15, 2020, all JHMR mountain operations, including lifts, retail, rental, and restaurants will be closed. This action is in accordance with verbal order from Governor Mark Gordon of the State of Wyoming to close all ski area operations. JHMR has taken these measures out of concern for the health and safety of our guests, employees, and community.

Is the Jackson Hole Airport going to shut down?

The Jackson Hole Airport is currently open and servicing travelers. JHMR is not aware of any planned closures. Please visit jacksonholeairport.com for up-to-date information. 

Jackson Hole Air is working with our airline partners to add additional service to accommodate outgoing passengers. Please contact your airline directly for the most up-to-date information. 

What will happen if airlines continue to cancel flights?

JHMR suggests monitoring your airline’s website for the most up-to-date information. Airlines are also disseminating information via social media channels. 

How is the Kids Ranch operating with kids being in close proximity?

The Kids Ranch at JHMR is closed effective 3/15/2020 and remains closed.

Is uphill traffic allowed?

Where do I go if I feel sick?

IMPORTANT HEALTH HOTLINES:

The Teton County Health Department (TCHD) activated a Hotline for members of the public to access information on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), St. John’s Health has activated two hotlines for evaluating patients with options for those experiencing symptoms. The automated systems are operational 24-hours a day and will provide callers with local updates, steps to prevent the spread of the disease, and what to do if individuals have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms.

START Bus Update 3/17/20

The START Bus Transit System will transition from the Winter service schedule to the Spring service schedule beginning Thursday, March 19, 2020.  This early transition to the Spring service schedule is a result of recent closures to local ski resorts and is an additional proactive measure to help mitigate exposure to COVID-19.

Beginning Thursday, March 19, 2020, START’s services will transition to the Spring service schedule as follows:

Teton Village Service
Green Line:     Starts   5:58AM                       Ends    8:30PM

Town Shuttle Service
TS1:                 Starts   6:05AM                       Ends    8:49PM
TS2:                 Starts   6:20AM                       Ends    8:37PM

Commuter Service (No Changes)   
Star Valley:     Departures from Star Valley and Return from Jackson unchanged
Teton Valley:  Departures from Teton Valley and Return from Jackson unchanged

ADA Service (No Changes)
Operating Hours:        Start    6AM                End     9PM

START recommends social distancing when riding the bus.  Please do not ride START Bus when you are sick.   Please try and ride the bus in ways that minimizes close contact with other people.  Please practice excellent personal hygiene habits before, during and after you ride the bus.

START Bus is taking proactive measures in response to the pandemic COVID-19.  START Bus is working closely with local health organizations and will continue to follow best practices as recommended by health officials.
