Jackson Hole's skiing may be formidable, but this resort is more than just steep runs and technical terrain. If your idea of a snow vacation doesn't involve pushing your mind and body to the limits on Corbet’s Couloir, perhaps the shopping, spas, gondola rides, sledding, snowshoeing, or numerous restaurants are more your speed. Maybe you want to chill at a luxury hotel, put your feet up by the fire at a cozy log cabin, or enjoy a brew with the backdrop of the Grand Tetons just a stone’s throw away. We get it, and we’re here to show you that with a myriad of experiences, Jackson Hole can be a non-skiers dream destination, too.
Restaurants with a View
Almost as legendary as Corbet's Couloir is the top of the world waffles at Corbet's Cabin. Ride the iconic aerial tram on a sightseeing ticket to try a gourmet waffle at 10,450 feet.
If you're lucky, you may even witness a view of the sea of dreams, a total cloud covering of the valley floor, making you feel as though you've ascended to heaven.
Grab drinks with a view from the top of Bridger Gondola at Rendezvous Lodge and enjoy panoramic views of the valley below while you relax in the comfort of Piste Mountain Bistro.
No visit to a ski town is complete without a proper aprés experience. Our newest aprés restaurant, Tram Dock, welcomes you in to relax at its 4-sided bar.
Winter Activities
Skiing and snowboarding are only the beginning of adventures in Teton Village. The base of the slopes boasts countless winter activities and experiences everyone will love, making Jackson Hole the best winter family vacation for non-skiers. Notable experiences include:
Dog Sledding: Live your Iditarod dreams! Just steps from the resort sits Call of the WYld offering private dogsled tours with views of the Tetons. Call of the WYld’s friendly guides and even friendlier dogs take you on a one-hour adventure through Jackson Hole's breathtaking scenery.
Snowshoeing and snowmobiling: Cross-country skiing isn’t the only way to explore the magnificent backcountry in Jackson Hole. If you can walk, you can snowshoe – no prior experience is required! Stop by JH Sports rentals and Snowshoe down the Teton Village trail, or hop on a snowmobile for a thrilling ride. Full-day, half-day, and guided options are available.
Ice Skating: Ice skate under the lights at the village rink on the commons and cozy up with some hot cocoa. Rental skates, snacks, and warm drinks are available at the warming hut adjacent to the rink.
Shopping
Stroll through Teton Village's quaint shops and boutiques or take a scenic drive to the town of Jackson to wander the shops in the town square. Grab a coffee and browse souvenirs and small gifts, home goods and vintage stores, and clothing boutiques. You’re sure to find some gems and support local businesses when shopping in Jackson Hole.
Unwind at the Spa
Is there anything better than enjoying a hot soak while the snow falls just outside your window? At Jackson Hole, the slopes are your beach and the spa is your sand. Relax slopeside at one of Teton Village's three luxury spas, offering massages, facials, skincare, and more.
Learn to Ski
While Jackson Hole gets its reputation from the sheer amount of expert terrain the mountain hosts, what goes unnoticed is that the resort is also home to some of the most learner-friendly runs out there. Three lifts each with gradual increases in difficulty set the stage for a perfect learning progression. The daily resort capacity limits the number of guests in the resort so you can enjoy wide-open runs and avoid feeling like you are dodging people at every turn.
There's no better way to start your snow sports journey than with Jackson Hole’s world-renowned Mountain Sports School. These incredible instructors will have you feeling confident on the slopes in no time. Offering personalized group lessons with small class sizes or individualized private lessons, the Jackson Hole instructors are ready to work with you and help you level up at your own pace.
