Summer is in full swing, and one of the MUST do activities for locals and visitors alike is to ride the Bridger Gondola in the evening to grab a drink and a snack at The Deck or dinner at Piste Mountain Bistro. The restaurants are open now through September 13, but this year is a bit different in light of the global pandemic. We’ve limited capacity and added new health and safety measures to ensure our guests and staff stay at safe as possible.
Here are our top 5 tips to enjoy Piste and The Deck
- Gondola is FREE at 5pm, but load early with a season pass or lift ticket. That’s right, all you Grand Passholders can ride the gondola at any time, so bypass the line, and load the gondola prior to 5pm. The Deck opens at 4:30pm. If you purchased a sightseeing ticket earlier in the day, you can totally use that ticket again to enjoy the cocktails and sunshine before the free group arrives!
- Line for The Deck ques up around 4:30 pm, and make sure you have your entire group together. The line for free sightseeing and The Deck usually forms around 4:30 pm each night. Consider bringing a sunhat (and your mask!), as the line gets direct sun. JHMR is limiting the number of people up the gondola each evening due to Teton County Health Orders, so come early and make sure everyone in your party is there when its time to load.
- Make a reservation for Piste. With sweeping valley views, craft cocktails, interesting wine and beer, farm to table menu and new safety protocols in place, it’s one of the best dining experiences in the valley. We highly encourage you to make a reservation, as tables are limited.
- Closed Mondays, for other special events and weather. Take note before you plan your evening, Piste and The Deck are only open Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays this summer. Other closures for special events and weather do happen, so please check jacksonhole.com when planning your evening experience. The next closure for a special event is Sunday, July 26.
- Wear a mask. Masks are required in all lift lines, and inside all JHMR buildings and facilities. Masks are offered upon request, subject to availability. Thanks for helping to keep our community safe this summer!
