The YETI Natural Selection Tour is BACK for 2022! Taking place on our home turf January 25-31, Stop One on the Tour will feature a world-class roster of sixteen men and eight women dropping into the Selector venue: a complex zone, rich with natural features, representing one of the most rugged sections of inbound terrain at Jackson Hole.
Nine a.m. and it’s time to go. A group of extremely talented and dedicated snowboarders are working hard to turn a rocky, snowy hillside at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort into a world-class freestyle course.
When is the YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole?

Check out https://www.naturalselectiontour.com and follow @naturalselection on social media for the latest news and for when the days are called, as the weather forecast develops.

Are there evening events and other ways to experience the YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole?
YES! New for 2022, the Natural Selection ‘Stay Wild’ Festival, presented in partnership with Visit Jackson Hole, will curate eight days and nights of music, inspiration and education during the YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole. The line-up includes Shakey Graves and Saint Sinner presented by Backcountry and Natural Selection, Kishi Bashi, who provided the score for The Fourth Phase, Perel, The Librarian, Dirtwire, Red Fang and more. Tickets are now on sale for the ‘Stay Wild’ Festival, January 23-30, 2022.

The Center for the Arts will also be home to a Natural Selection opening and closing ceremonies, speaker series, films and more throughout the event that will be open to the public, both in person and online. YETI will host a Film Night at the Center for the Arts in Jackson during Natural Selection, where they will show a selection of never-before-seen YETI Presents films that celebrate the outdoors. And there will be a special showing of “Dear Rider, The Jake Burton Story,” an HBO documentary produced by Red Bull Media House.

All indoor Natural Selection events will require a mask to be worn at all times inside the venue, except when actively eating or drinking, and proof of full vaccination from COVID-19. Those unable to be vaccinated must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event. Refunds will be provided if events are canceled.
Can I watch the contest from the mountain at Jackson Hole?
The YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole Selector venue is difficult to access and challenging to watch in person. It is a true backcountry style venue spread out across a section of the glades accessed from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s Teton lift. The zone is roped off and inaccessible leading into and through the event window.
Due to the backcountry-style and untracked powder nature of the venue along with event Covid protocol, the Tour has chosen to invest heavily into providing a state-of-the-art, live production that will bring the YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole into living rooms and the hands of people worldwide on NaturalSelectionTour.com. Many restaurants and bars in Jackson and Teton Village will be streaming the event live as well. There will not be big screens, a PA system, viewing platforms or any spectator facilities on the mountain this year. If you are riding on-mountain at Jackson Hole the days that the contest runs, there are select peek-a-boo views along the fence line. But, the very best way to watch is on NaturalSelectionTour.com.
How do I get a spot to compete?
We wish everyone could ride the course! Including us. About half of the field qualified through top finishes last year, with the second half of riders invited by the Natural Selection Nomination Committee. Riders range from Olympic medalists to freeride stars, film icons and the most legendary names in snowboarding. Check out the full list of invited riders planning to drop into the YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole here: https://www.naturalselectiontour.com/riders.
Does the tour need any volunteers?
