Race

Race the clock and your friends. The Jackson Hole Race Department maintains a 1,500-feet-long, 150-feet-wide course on Apres Vous' Werner Run that is accessible from the Togwotee Pass Traverse to Deer Flat above South Pass Traverse. The course is open seven days a week, conditions and training schedule permitting.

Experience the race course in a variety of ways. Private race lessons offer up to five individuals day-long adventures with a race coach, who will work with you in Giant Slalom or Slalom. The arena may also be rented on a half-day basis from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. or 1-3 p.m. Race arena rentals grant private access to the course, timing, individual racer bibs and race results. Lane rentals present an hourly package that includes access to two private training lanes; use of gates, race and safety equipment; and assistance from two Race Department staff members.

 Organized training opportunities are also available. Young racers, in second to eighth grades, can join the Teton Village Ski Team, which meets on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season. The team focuses on developing ski racing techniques, with an emphasis on drills and gate training.
